BMW M5 Rolls on Continental Tire


Continental Tire of North American (CTNA) will supply select tires to the BMW Performance Center and the BMW Performance Driving School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, it was announced today by Ed Marohn, Director of Automotive Aftermarket Sales for Continental Tire of North America. The tires will be provided for the BMW M5, which is the featured vehicle for the BMW Performance Driving School.
Continental's 255/40ZR19 ContiSportContact™ 2 (front axle) tire and 285/35ZR19 ContiSportContact™ 2 (rear axle) tire currently come as original equipment on the BMW M5.
“Continental is proud to be associated with the BMW Performance Driving School and their mission of providing the tools to enable safer driving,” said Marohn.
“We very much appreciate this new relationship with Continental Tire of North America, and their contributions to the BMW Performance Driving School will be a great asset as we have more and more drivers out on our courses,” added Dan Gubitosa, Manager of the BMW Performance Center.
The BMW Performance Center, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, comprises the BMW Performance Driving School – a 134-acre, state-of-the-art driving facility equipped with closed courses, water walls, a skid pad and an off-road course; a multi-purpose conference center; customer delivery center; and a service, paint and body facility. The 64,000 square-foot complex opened in 2000 and offers multiple BMW Performance Driving School courses year-round from BMW-certified Driving Instructors for teenagers up to experienced driving enthusiasts.
